Home away from home
Robbie - Founder/Director
Every dog deserves force free
After being in business for 25 years, Robbie was looking for a new adventure. Her love of dogs and the realisation that there were so many ‘home alone dogs’, inspired the idea of Doghouse Daycare. Adding to that, the dream to be able to groom dogs in a ‘free range’ environment where regular breaks were mandatory and cages prohibited was the catalyst for the new venture! Robbie is studying dog behaviour, training and management as part of her Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services. “We encourage owners to bring their puppies to daycare because it’s a wonderful learning environment, as well as engaging their social and mental capacities”.
Micki - Partner, Client Liaison.
Studying to become a vet
Micki’s experience ranges in all areas of the Doghouse, having worked in daycare, grooming and administration, but for the past 3 years Micki has been following her dreams of becoming a Vet, and is studying at the University of Sydney whilst working behind the scenes, you may see her floating about when she’s home for the holidays!

As well as this Cheryl plays a major role in our reception area and at the Doghouse as a whole. She always has a welcoming face to greet all of our clientele.

Bianca - Carer
Certificate II & III Animal Studies
Bianca started working at the Doghouse in 2013, introduced to us though a school work experience opportunity. At the time Bianca was also heavily involved with dog training at the Aldinga School for Dogs where she showed a deep passion and interest for all things dog, especially communication and training.
Since leaving school Bianca went on to complete Certificates 2 and 3 in Animal Studies. At the beginning of 2016 she decided to study Certificate 4 in Vet Nursing full time and take 12 months off. We were lucky to have Bianca re-join us at the end of 2016 and she is now undertaking leadership training in our play areas.
Bianca still enjoys her time and commitment to volunteering as a trainer at the Aldinga School for dogs and teaching the local community how to have well-mannered dogs using positive reinforcement.
Bianca has 2 dogs of her own and loves taking them for walks, teaching them new tricks and doing agility with them.
Sarah - Carer
Bachelor of Animal Science
Along with a shared passion for all things dog, Sarah brings to the Doghouse her knowledge gained through achieving a Bachelor of Animal Science from Flinders University in 2015. Sarah spent time volunteering at the RSPCA where she worked specifically with dogs who had aggression and behavioural issues, meeting new challenges and gaining new experience. It was through this experience that Sarah realised that she wanted to work with dogs full time and joined the Doghouse early in 2017.
You’ll get to chat with Sarah at drop off and collection time where she’ll let you know all the things that the dogs get up to during her watch, but mostly you’ll see Sarah entertaining the dogs in our play areas where she’s in her ‘most’ favourite area of the Doghouse!
Maddie - Trainee Groomer/ Carer
Maddie joined our team in early 2017 and has a deep passion for natural wildlife and dogs especially. Trying her hand at dog training during her later school years made Maddie realise that dogs were to be her future career. Maddie has worked in grooming in previous employment and comes to Doghouse Daycare with a desire to further hone her grooming skills and is working under our expert grooming team and is an absolute natural! Maddie has two dogs of her own, her beloved Beagle ‘Akira’ and ‘Claudia’ a Beagle X. Having already completed a Certificate III in Animal Care and Husbandry and a Pet First Aid certificate, Tayla was on the way to achieving her passion of working closely with dogs with us here at the Doghouse.
We see a bright future for Tayla who is a quick learner and has fitted into our existing team of professionals at Doghouse Daycare.
